Kelsey was born and raised in the Seattle area, where her fascination with architecture began. Early on, she discovered a passion for creating and shaping environments which led her to pursue a BS in Architecture and a Master of Architecture from Washington State University. Architecture provided a platform where she could channel creativity into tangible, functional outcomes while adhering to the disciplined processes of design and construction. Kelsey is now a licensed architect certified through NCARB, and Living Future Accredited through the International Living Future Institute.
With eight years of experience, Kelsey has worked on a broad range of projects including commercial office spaces, retail, residential, tribal and industrial projects. Her diverse experience enriches her approach to creative design solutions, and she is deeply involved in all phases of her projects, pushing for design excellence using precedent and creative solutions in order to achieve her client’s goals.
Kelsey is passionate about climate responsive and equitable design. She strives to create buildings that are deeply connected to their specific sites, respecting the local climate, geography, and cultural context. For her, architecture is not just about aesthetics but about creating spaces that are both ethically responsible and enhance the user experience, addressing both immediate needs and long-term impacts on the planet and its inhabitants.
Outside of work, Kelsey enjoys spending time outdoors, being with family and friends, and cheering for the Cougs. She also has a love for extreme sports.
