From an early age, Wayde was always drawing, making things, and taking drafting and shop classes. He worked in the architecture field for 8 years before even going to university because he knew how to draft and put buildings together. He is a graduate of the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, and the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
Wayde came to the PNW about 7 years ago while working for a Seattle-based firm as the Design Principal of its Shanghai office. He has taught and practiced architecture in various forms and at a variety of scales for 36+ years. He is a generalist who finds nearly everything about our profession interesting, from the business development through the erection of buildings. He will design anything, anywhere and at any size.
He loves to fly fish, build things in his garage, and go camping and adventuring with his family. He has traveled the world, run marathons, worked on a lobster boat, built unfinished furniture, and raced his bike in 5 countries.
