At FREIHEIT, our team’s passion for food is almost as strong as our dedication to architecture. Throughout the year, we host numerous internal cooking competitions, bringing out the culinary creativity of our staff. The latest in our lineup of food-centric events was the much-anticipated Great Cookie Off, a fun and fierce bake-off suggested by our talented extern, Sadhana, before she returned to school at the University of Oregon.

The competition was nothing short of intense, with 11 delicious entries vying for the top spots across six unique categories. The categories included Best Overall, Ridiculously Good Lookin’ Cookie, Most Victoria, Not-a-Cookie, Good Texture, and Best Name. Our office was buzzing with excitement as everyone sampled the treats and cast their votes, making for a spirited and competitive atmosphere. The results were incredibly close, with two categories resulting in ties and most winners edging out the competition by just one vote, showcasing the high level of talent among our bakers.

Each entry was a testament to our team’s creativity and love for baking, with beautifully decorated cookies, inventive flavor combinations, and clever names that made the judging all the more challenging. The Great Cookie Off was not just a showcase of our culinary skills but also a reminder of the camaraderie and fun that makes FREIHEIT a great place to work. Whether it’s designing buildings or whipping up the best cookie in the office, our team knows how to bring their A-game. We can’t wait to see what delicious competition will come next!
