Julia, originally from Bellevue, Washington, developed a passion for drawing and history from a young age. Her fascination with understanding human behavior and decision-making led her to pursue architecture, which she saw as the perfect blend of her interests. Julia earned her Bachelor of Architecture from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo.
Since graduating, Julia has gained experience working on tenant improvement and multi-family housing projects. Currently, at FREIHEIT, she is involved in the J2 Housing project as well as several smaller tenant improvement initiatives. She values the continuous learning opportunities that the architecture profession offers, finding that each day brings new insights and challenges.
Outside of her professional life, Julia enjoys cooking and exploring the Pacific Northwest through activities like soccer, camping, and hiking. She aspires to run a marathon, design and build her own home, and learn Spanish. A unique aspect of Julia’s background is that she is a Korean adoptee, which adds a distinct perspective to her personal and professional journey.
