Architecture has fascinated Michael for as long as he can remember. As a child, he filled sketchbooks with architectural drawings, driven by an innate passion for design. Michael earned both his Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Master of Architecture degrees from Washington State University. Along the way, he became LEED AP accredited, earned NCARB certification, and became a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
With over 17 years of experience and as one of the owners and Principals at FREIHEIT, Michael manages a wide range of projects, including master planning, tenant improvements, light industrial developments, and affordable multi-family housing. He is passionate about viewing the world through an architectural lens, constantly imagining what could be, a perspective that fuels his creativity and drives his dedication to design.
Outside of architecture, Michael enjoys spending time with his family, exploring the outdoors, and engaging in creative pursuits. He is also working on achieving some personal goals, such as facing his fear of heights by skydiving, going on a remote horseback camping trip, and designing a truly iconic piece of architecture.
